The Reason for the Season
By SuperUser Account on 12/24/2008 12:47 PM

Merry Christmas from our family to your's!  Remember that the Reason for the season is that God became flesh and dwelt among us, to live and die so that we could be redeemed.  We praise God that through the birth, death, and resurrection of His precious Son, we can have peace with God!

On the other side of six months...
By SuperUser Account on 12/3/2008 3:32 PM

Wow, it's hard to believe that the amazingly wonderful union called "marriage" has been our's for over six months now!  We're thankful for all the blessings the Lord has given us in the last six months, and we're looking forward to what He has in store in the next half-year!

We also want to announce that we have an apartment picked out in Colorado Springs and we will be moving in on December 13th.  If you think about it, we'd appreciate prayers that the move will go as smoothly as possible.  We do have some family here and friends there who are going to help us with the move - for which we are very grateful!

And as the last announcement - Isaac Alan Wardell graduates from Weber State University with a Bachelor's degree on December 12th.  HOOOORAY!! :D

Prayer for Direction
By SuperUser Account on 11/4/2008 11:21 AM

Isaac graduates from Weber University in December of this year. He's been applying for jobs, and he has an upcoming interview for the job he really wants (with Compassion International) on November 14th. We ask for your prayers that the Lord will give us His direction for our future, and that He would continue to provide for us.  Thanks!!

"It came upon a midnight clear"
By SuperUser Account on 10/10/2008 11:13 AM

Brr!  Last night we had quite a cold front.  It was 33 degrees when Isaac left for work at 6:45 this morning!  Wow.    I tell you what, this isn't what I'm used to!  But it's neat, so far.  The cold weather is making me think of Christmas though.  Today at lunch I made spaghetti and salad, lit the Christmas scent candles, and turned on Josh Groban's "Noel" CD.  Ahhh, Christmas is in the air!    Too bad it's still 2.5 months away, also.    Ah w ...

Isaac

He thinks I hung the moon and the stars
I think he's a livin' dream
Well, there are men
But ones like him
Are few and far between

Mama, he's crazy
Crazy over me
And in my life is where he says
He always wants to be
I've never been so in love
He beats all I've ever seen

Mama, he's crazy
He's crazy over me

Back home
By SuperUser Account on 9/3/2008 9:31 AM

Well, we had a wonderful visit to see my family and now we're back home.  Lots of catching up to do now!  Isaac's last semester of school has started in full swing.  We're also both working.  Pretty busy!

The Lord is teaching me that His power is perfected in weakness.  Lately He's been reminding me that:

1. When I am at my weakest, He will give me the strength I need, if I ask.
2. When He does that, I am able to do things that I couldn't do in myself.
3. Then, He receives glory because, in my weakness, His power is perfected.
