Isaac and I have been married for over a month now. Sweet!! God has been SO good to us. We're so happy!
Thanks to everyone who has been praying for us - both before the wedding and now during all the changes. We appreciate it so much! The Lord gave us a DREAM wedding... it was so perfect. We're so thankful for everyone who came and everyone who helped make it our day to remember!
Immediately after the wedding, Isaac and I headed to Branson, MO, where we had a one-week honeymoon in a cabin on the lake. It was lovely. It was quiet and peaceful. Ideal spot!
After that we headed up to Iowa to visit Isaac's family (my new family!). They're awesome!! I really enjoyed getting to know them. We braved floodwaters the whole week as we visited with Isaac's grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. It was an adverturesome, but highly enjoyable trip.
We moved to our new home immediately upon arriving in Utah. It's a cutesy, 800 sq ft, one-bedroom apartment in Roy, Utah. We've pretty much settled in now. We finally have almost all the boxes unpacked, and most of the rooms decorated. I'm getting used to being domestic again, after 4 years of working fulltime and 4 years of college before that. It's different, but I love it! I'm having a blast experimenting with new recipes and even making up my own.
Isaac is still working at Williams as a statistical analyst intern. He also has two online summer classes (and of course, a new wife who wants her share of his time), so he's staying quite busy. I'm working part-time for my father (long-distance, of course). In my off-time I'm quite busy cleaning house, cooking, and writing thank you notes. (If you don't have your thank you note yet, don't worry - it's coming soon! I'm almost caught up.)
We're fellowshipping with the saints in Ogden, and really enjoying it. The worship is pure and focused... and very refreshing. It's been great fun to get better acquainted with my family-in-Christ here. Everyone has been very welcoming and kind.
Our new address is 1895 W 4650 S Apt A, Roy, Utah 84067. We don't have a land-line phone, but our cell numbers are the same as they have been, as are our email addresses. We'd love to hear from you all!
Love in our Lord,
Rachelle and Isaac
